Event Description:    It'a a field of treasures! No, it people of all ages having fun at a metal detector hunt. Nuts… I mean Targets all over the place . . . . . . . So get ready!

This Open Detector Hunt will be at the LDMA Oconee Camp in Oconee County where the early participants gets the Gold. It is open to anyone that wants to come play in the dirt, swing their detector and find their coins, tokens for prizes, silver and even some GOLD! Participants must register by calling GPAA headquarters at 1-800-551-9707 no later than 10/03/19.

What is a “Open Detector Hunts: Kids to Pros?”
Gold Prospectors Association of America (GPAA), in association with the Lost Dutchman’s Mining Association (LDMA), hosts a National Open Detector Hunts: Kids to Pros where all participants will swing their detectors in the search of hunting for all types of coins, silver, tokens and more. All participants will receive an extra “goodie or two” just for joining the treasure festivities.

It is more than just Swinging a detector. . . .
You will meet people from all over the country, that love the thrill of what they can unearth when they hear mineral tones fill their headphones. Always a good time for all … even the kids too!

Multiple Hunts throughout the day. . .
There are hunts for everybody … brand new to detecting, the pro, and even kids will have their own Hunts for treasures.

Who Can Participate?
OPEN to all with the following fee structure per participant:

Main Hunts (be part of one or both) . . . . .$50

Diggers Nugget Hunt (optional) . . . . . . . .$25* *MUST be registered in Main Hunts to Qualify!

Kids Hunt (8 to 12 years of age) . . . . . . . $15

Event Description:     Registration The Massachusetts Treasure Hunting Association (MTHA) is hosting its annual Hunt. Our yearly OPEN hunt in the Fall at Houghton's Pond.

This is an OPEN hunt and is usually attended by detectorists from all over New England.

Two hunt sessions. Morning and Afternoon Hunts. Hunt one session if that's all you have time for; or want to bring a young hunter. Don't miss all the fun!

Full early registration for the 2 hunts qualifies a hunter for an early registration prize drawn at 9:45 AM day of the hunt.

INCENTIVE TO REGISTER EARLY
Hunt fee on the day of the hunt is higher than early registration. Please register early.

A great chance to meet and chat with treasure hunters from other clubs, though you need not be in a club to participate in this Annual Hunt.

Prizes include new equipment; metal detectors purchased for the event; accessories, gift certificates and money prizes; silver in the ground, silver raffles and even a prize for the best piece of junk pulled out of the beach.

Last year over $5800 in value won.

Event Description:    Hunt Flyer Held at Mountain Creek Preserve, corner of Nursery and Hunter Ferrell Road. In 2018 we awarded 22 metal detectors, 61 gold coins, many other great prizes, and 5,954 silver coins were seeded in the hunt fields. Five fun hunts, the Gold Hunt will feature a Dos Peso for every 2 entries. All entry fees plus donations go into the hunt as coins or prizes. Fund Raisers will include a Detector, with 4 detectors, a Gold Coin, with 4 coins, and a Cake Auction, with many cakes with prizes. Hunt held rain or shine, “One Busy Day”.

Description:    The North-South Skirmish Association (N-SSA) was formed in 1950 to commemorate the heroism of the men, of both sides, who fought in the American Civil War. The N-SSA promotes the safe and competitive shooting of Civil War firearms and artillery while wearing Civil War uniforms. There are currently over 3,500 members composing over 200 units (teams). An N-SSA unit must represent an actual unit that existed during the Civil War, so you'll see units from all over the Union and Confederacy, competing in a friendly and family oriented atmosphere.
